Our Classes

Expertly taught. Examination ready. Open to all ages.

Every class at EPDA is taught by a fully qualified, BATD-registered teacher following recognised syllabi. Classes are available from age 2 1/2 through to adult, spanning seven disciplines.

Annual examinations are offered across all disciplines, giving students the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications and SCQF points at higher levels. We are also currently exploring the introduction of the Royal Ballet School’s Affiliate Programme.

Ballet

Ballet is the cornerstone of training at EPDA. Our classes develop technical precision, strength, posture, and artistry. Ballet provides a foundation that benefits dancers across every style. All Ballet classes incorporate Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), a globally recognised programme that uses targeted conditioning to build the muscle memory essential for correct, injury free technique.

Ballet classes are available as part of our Nursery class through to our audition only Pre-Performers and Performers groups. Annual BATD examinations are offered.

The Performers Pathway

En Pointe Dance Academy is proud to offer our performers pathway for our most dedicated students, spanning both Ballet and Jazz. This audition only programme supplements the training already provided in our exam classes giving students the chance to take their training further.

Pre-Performers Ballet: For younger students who have demonstrated outstanding commitment, technical progress, and performance potential.

Performers Ballet: Our most advanced Ballet group, for students pursuing the highest level of training available at EPDA.

Performers Jazz: An advanced Jazz group for older students ready to extend their performance training beyond Ballet.

Entry to all Performers classes is by audition, with places reviewed annually. These classes represent the very best of what EPDA has to offer, and we are immensely proud of every student who earns their place.
