Achievements
Celebrating progress at every level
At En Pointe Dance Academy we are immensely proud of our students’ achievements and look forward to sharing their successes here as they grow.
BATD Examinations
All EPDA classes follow the British Association of Teachers of Dancing syllabi. Students are invited to sit formal examinations annually, progressing through recognised grade levels in their chosen disciplines. Examinations are conducted by BATD-appointed examiners and results are recognised nationally.
We are pleased to report at our most recent exam session in February 2026 our pupils received a 100% Pass Rate with an outstanding 82% of pupil receiving a mark of 85 and above. Congratulations to all our students.
BATD Scholarships
Each year, the British Association of Teachers of Dancing awards scholarships to dancers who demonstrate exceptional technique, artistry, and potential. Nominations are made by the examiner following annual examinations, with successful candidates taking part in the Scholarship class in front of industry experts. Being put forward is a significant achievement, it is independent recognition, from the examiner directly, that a dancer stands out among the very best across BATD member schools.
We are delighted to announce that two EPDA dancers have been nominated for the 2026 Scholarships. Congratulations to Brooke, nominated for Senior Ballet and Junior Jazz, and to Sophie, nominated for Junior Jazz. Both dancers have worked tremendously hard, and these nominations are well deserved recognition of their commitment in the studio. We are immensely proud of them both.
Beyond the Academy
EPDA actively encourages students to explore dance opportunities beyond our studio, with several of our students currently participating in prestigious external programmes.
Congratulations to Charlotte who has been accepted into Scottish Ballet Junior Associates for 2026/27. Further congratulations to Amber who has been accepted to both Scottish Ballet Junior Associates and the Pre-Juniors Programme at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Both girl’s hard work in the studio is paying off and these acceptances are a testament to the fundamental training they have received here at En Pointe Dance Academy.
